Ubisoft Store Design System

The Ubisoft Store is the digital destination for people looking to buy Ubisoft official games and merchandise. The challenge was to find a unique visual signature that combines Ubisoft’s corporate branding and its varied game universes.

The Best of all Worlds

Ubisoft’s creed is “creator of worlds” and has an ever-growing catalogue of diverse games. When working with LEEROY to define the Store’s visual signature, it was important to create something that would align with Ubisoft’s corporate branding but also bring forward each game’s universe in a cohesive package. Their team proposed the 45-degree angle concept and built a solid foundation of templates for us to work with.

We worked together to implement existing elements created by internal teams to flesh out a design system that could be used across all channels, including our e-comm platforms. It was important for us to work with templates to not only keep the style consistent, but to also enable quick turnarounds.

A Visual Playground

A good design system creates a solid foundation for us to build on when designing campaigns for important events like Black Friday or AAA game launches.

There’s Always More To Do

As the Ubisoft Store eCommerce product grows, so does the design system. Some of my responsibilities include keeping documents, shared libraries and templates up to date.
